“I hope by sharing stories that are a celebration of all our differences, children may find a feeling of self-acceptance from a young age.”

“I hope by sharing stories that are a celebration of all our differences, children may find a feeling of self-acceptance from a young age.”

In this one hour presentation, Australian Children’s Laureate Gabrielle Wang will share how her childhood and cultural background have led to the things she is most passionate about in the world of children’s literature – imagination, art, school libraries and diversity.

Stay after for a meet and greet, a book signing and time to network with Australia’s Children’s Laureate and members of the library and education community.

This Book Week event is proudly presented by Westbooks and the State Library of Western Australia. Books will be available for purchase before and after the event.

Registration will start at 4.30pm
