Do-si-do your way down to Harmony Fields for this ripper event. \nDate: Saturday 10 October 2026 \nLocation: Harmony Fields\, Maddington \nTime: 5pm – 9pm \nCost: This event is free of charge and no ticket required. \nActivities for kids\nEnjoy an evening fun and frivolity all in the Hoedown spirit. Time yourself on the Bucking Bull\, test your skills with the Pit Stop Challenge and Catch a Chook. \nThere is a wide range of activities that are fun and free for families\, including: \n\nInflatable Axe Throwing\nFloor is Lava\nPony rides (with limits – see FAQs below)\nBucking Bull\nBaja Buddies ride\nTraffic Jam ride\nRocking Tug ride\nCup and Saucer ride\nCraft Activities\nBubba Pit Stop Challenge\nCatch a Chook\nRide in train with the Gosnells Lions Club\n\nStage schedule\nWe have a whip crackin’ lineup on the Hoedown stage this year. \nYou can sing along to your favourite Country tunes or take part in the line dancing lesson. \nHere’s what to expect on stage for fun times and country vibes: \n\n5.10pm Country theme Sing and Dance along\n5.35pm Mayor’s Speech\n6.10pm Class Act\n6.50pm Southern Dukes (Set 1)\n7.15pm Lesson with Step 2 It line dancing\n8.05pm Southern Dukes (Set 2) \n\nSponsors\nThis event is supported by Lotterywest and Perth Airport. \nFrequently asked questions\n\n\nWhen is the event?\n\nHoedown at Harmony will be held on Saturday 10 October 2026 from 5pm – 9pm. \n\n\n\nWhere is it being held?\n\nHarmony Fields\, Alcock Street\, Maddington \n\n\n\nHow can I get there?\n\nYou can drive\, walk\, cycle or use public transport. There will be limited parking in Harmony Fields complex. \n To ensure travellers avoid congestion\, we encourage folks to consider hitching a ride via public transport\, walk\, ride or rideshare. The nearest bus stop for access is on Dellar Rd or Westfield Street after Alcock Street\, catching the 229 Bus. \n \n\n\n\nWhat food and beverage options will be available at Hoedown at Harmony?\n\nSkip the cooking and the dishes and purchase dinner from one of the food vendors. Details to follow soon! \nPlease note that this is an alcohol-free event and BYO alcohol is not permitted. You are more than welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy. \nBring your drink bottle to take advantage of the free drinking water available at the hydration stations. \n\n\n\nHow much does it cost?\n\nEntry to Hoedown at Harmony\, including all rides and activities is free. Food and beverages are available to purchase from the onsite food vendors. \n \n\n\n\nAre there any rides or activities that have limits?\n\nThe pony rides have a height and weight restriction. Restrictions are not based on age. If you are unsure whether your child/children are permitted to ride\, please check with the staff at the pony ride activity before queuing to avoid disappointment. \n \n\n\n\nWhat happens if it’s raining?\n\nThe event will still go ahead if it’s raining unless there are severe weather warnings that will compromise the safety of the event. Check our website or Facebook page for any updates regarding cancellation. And check the weather before you head to the event to make sure you’re dressed appropriately. If it’s raining\, pack a poncho or raincoat! \n\n\n\nCan I bring my pet?\n\nPets are not permitted at Hoedown at Harmony unless they are assistance animals. \n\n\n\nHow can I get involved if I am a food vendor?\n\nIf you would like to be considered for future City of Gosnells events\, please visit the Food traders webpage for more information. Expressions of interest and applications close at 4pm Monday 7 September 2026. \n \n\n\n\nHow can I get involved if I am a performer/artist?\n\nExpressions of interest from performers for Hoedown at Harmony have now closed\, however the City of Gosnells hosts an array of events throughout the year. \nSubmit an expression of interest application \n\n\n\nAre there accessible facilities?\n\nPlease be mindful that this is an outdoor event on grassed areas so there may be uneven surfaces. Portable accessible toilets are available. There are ACROD parking bays at Harmony Fields for ACROD cardholders. \n \n\n\n\nHow loud will it be?\n\nThere will be live music performed between 5pm and 9pm. All volume levels will comply with local government regulations and will be monitored to ensure compliance. \n\n\n\nWhat items are prohibited?\n\nItems prohibited at the event include: \n\nAlcohol and illicit substances of any kind;\nGlass bottles\, glassware or breakable containers;\nDrones or any other remote-controlled devices;\nBicycles\, scooters\, skateboards or skates;\nAnimals (excluding service animals);\nBarbecues or shade structures;\nWeapons of any kind\, including any item that can be used as a projectile;\nKnives or scissors;\nFireworks\, sparklers or flares;\nLaser pointers;\nCameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless prior approved by Council)\nOther items deemed by security\, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance.\n\n\n\n\nLost property\n\nAll lost property will be stored at the onsite information kiosk during the event.
