Last weekend my family and I headed to Mandurah to check out the baby dolphins ourselves. Mandurah’s dolphins are wild creatures viewed in their natural environment, sightings are not guaranteed but during this time of year, your chances are pretty high! During our 1.5 hour cruise, we saw about 5-7 dolphins, at one point a mother and her calf even swum alongside our boat.
In addition to dolphins, we spotted lots of birds and pelicans. The kids decided if we win lotto we’ll be moving into the house on the canal with dinosaur bones.
I was a little worried about being out on the water with my two little ones, I felt like they were safe the whole time. During the trip they started getting a bit restless, one of the crew brought over a box full of toys for them to play with.
Another highlight was cruising under the new Mandurah bridge, it was also great to see a section of the old bridge incorporated into the fishing platforms and a boardwalk.
