Little Green Thumb Workshops
The Little Green Thumb Workshops at held in the middle of Forrest Place features various garden and spring-themed workshops for children aged 3 – 10 years. Workshops include making flower crowns, terrarium mini-gardens, rock bugs, sprout heads, bee hotels, origami seed packets and learning about the Noongar six seasons.
Tickets are required to attend the Little Green Thumb Workshops, tickets cost $10 per booking – up to four children can be registered in one booking. Each booking can be redeemed for a $10 gift card to spend at your favourite city precincts upon arrival at your booked session.
Upon arrival, the kids are given their Little Green Thumbs Stamp Card, they can participate in up to 3 workshops per session, sessions run for 30 minutes. I was surprised how quickly our session went, but all the kids managed to do 3 activities each.
Miss 8’s highlight was making flower crowns with the fairies from Freedom Fairies. My eldest enjoyed making a bee hotel and meeting a range of friendly insects with the team at Eco Action. While the toddlers were happy getting their hands dirty making terrarium mini-gardens.
